Upgrading your rubber duck or adding an outdoor antenna for your handheld. 

Do you want to add a little more performance to your handheld radio?  You might consider replacing the rubber duck antenna.  Many hams add an external antenna mounted outdoors or in the attic, which can plug into the handheld for use at home.  Here are a few links to get you started.
